- •Cumin
- •Coriander seed
- •Egg
- •Bread roll
- •Tamarind chutney

Steps
- 1Soak the chana dal in water for about 1 hour, then boil it with ginger and garlic until soft, about 20 minutes, and drain thoroughly.
- 2Mash the cooked dal into the ground beef along with chopped green chili, cumin, and ground coriander seed until fully combined.
- 3Shape the mixture into flat, round patties about 3 inches wide.
- 4Heat a griddle with a little oil over medium heat and shallow-fry the patties for about 4 minutes per side, until a deep brown crust forms and the inside is cooked through.
- 5Beat an egg in a shallow bowl.
- 6Dip each cooked patty briefly into the beaten egg and return it to the hot griddle for about 1 minute per side, until the egg coating sets into a golden layer.
- 7Split a soft bread roll and warm it briefly on the same griddle for about 30 seconds.
- 8Spread tamarind chutney on both cut sides of the roll.
- 9Nestle the hot patty inside the roll along with sliced onion and tomato before pressing the bun closed and serving immediately.
