Ingredients and Steps
Big text, no distractions — for the stoveIngredients
- White fish
- Lime juice
- Red onion
- Cilantro
- Aji chili
- Sweet potato
- Corn
Steps
- 1Cut fresh raw white fish into bite-sized pieces and place them in a glass or ceramic bowl.
- 2Thinly slice red onion and soak it briefly in cold water to soften its bite, then drain.
- 3Squeeze plenty of fresh lime juice over the fish, making sure every piece is submerged.
- 4Add the sliced red onion, chopped cilantro, and a touch of minced aji chili to the bowl.
- 5Season with salt and toss everything gently to combine.
- 6Let the mixture marinate for about 10 to 15 minutes, just long enough for the acid in the lime juice to firm and lightly cook the surface of the fish.
- 7Taste and adjust the salt and lime juice as needed.
- 8Serve immediately in chilled bowls with slices of boiled sweet potato and cooked corn on the side.
